Porcelain Veneers – How to Avoid Paying $20,000 For Veneers

Kristy Henderson

A smile is the number one facial feature that people notice. If you have a bad smile, it’s holding you back socially.

When someone has nice shoes, nice clothes and a bad smile, they didn't come from a family that helped them improve their smile. A large percentage of people have a nice smile already, and it's because somebody helped them get it while they were growing up. If you don't have a nice smile, someone didn't help you get one and you're going to have to do it for yourself. Luckily, technology has made this easier than ever.

In this blog, we will discuss teledentistry,  porcelain veneers and how to save thousands on your smile transformation.

Dentistry is changing at a very fast rate. With today's technology, you don't have to live with a bad smile. Technological advances such as teledentistry have made it possible for thousands of people to receive dental care

Teledentistry is the practice of dentistry using technology to take the place of in-office visits. People who use teledentistry send a picture of their teeth to a dentist to get a quote or find out what work is necessary. This is a big change in the dental industry, because people are able to demand prices without ever stepping foot in a dental office.

Before teledentistry, it was almost impossible to get a quote before your appointment. Most dentists would give the run around over the phone and try to get you in before giving any numbers. Now, clients are able to demand an estimate of what it would cost for dental veneers before ever making an appointment.

If you send a picture of your smile and ask the dentist what it will cost to fix it and they don't give you the quote, you can decide to go elsewhere. Teledentistry makes dentists available across a wide area. Now that teledentistry exists, the average person will only go online, get a quote from a dentist, and never go back. The majority of the people who get a dental quote online don't actually accept the treatment plan, because it's too expensive!

Porcelain veneers vs Removable veneers

People talk to me all the time about good veneers and bad veneers. When you compare removable dental veneers to traditional veneers, you're going to like your removable dental veneers better.

When I got started, people would call me and say, “I want Bil Veneers until I can afford an implant or until I can afford a crown or a bridge and then by the time they could afford, it they didn't want it anymore. The smile that we gave them was so incredibly attractive that they didn't have to grind their teeth. They have a smile that they get compliments on every day, and they still have their teeth.

porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers require the teeth to be shaved down, irreparably damaging the tooth surface, and they aren’t designed to last forever. Permanent veneers are known to last a decade and often crack or break before that time. When a porcelain veneer breaks, you have to go back to the dentist, match the color, have it redone, hold the design, hope the lab's still in business, and pray it comes out okay. There are a lot of complications that go into re-visiting a permanent dental veneer, this is why many choose to stick with Bil Veneers instead.

Bil Veneers require NO teeth shaving and cause no damage to the natural teeth. They are designed for unmatched durability and are widely known to last over 5 years with proper care. When Bil Veneers crack or break, you can just order another one. There are no complications, procedures, or appointments necessary.

Dental veneers buy you time. They allow you to do the math and research to see if porcelain veneers might be an alternative for you, and may even replace the need for permanent veneers all together. They also come at a fraction of the cost of traditional veneers. While porcelain veneers can cost upwards of $20,000, Bil Veneers start at a low-price of $795.

porcelain veneers

I want you to look at each of the smiles below that were done with dental veneers. These people would never give up the smile they have now for porcelain veneers. They wouldn't let you grind their teeth to give them a different smile, because they want the smile they have and they want the teeth they have. If you look below, the results speak for themselves.

As you can see, these smiles were completely transformed with Bil Veneers. Each of these three people were able to enhance their smile without causing damage to their natural teeth. They achieved the look they wanted at a fraction of the cost and without seeing a dentist. Each of them saved thousands and still got amazing smile results!

How to reduce porcelain veneer cost

It always costs more to have a bad smile than it ever does to improve it, that’s the reason why dentists can get $20,000 for a set of porcelain veneers. People will pay anything to fix their broken smile, and dentists know that. I don't want you to have to spend $20,000 on permanent veneers, and if you are going to spend that kind of money, you can at least know how to save some.

porcelain veneers

Ordering Bil Veneers as a temporary smile solution can save you thousands of dollars on your smile transformation. These revolutionary removable veneers will give you the appearance of a perfect smile while you look over other, more permanent options. You won’t have to be pressured by your dentist's demands for a quick fix, because you already have one!

If you already have the appearance of a great smile, you can take you time to find the right permanent solution. Having Bil Veneers will also give you leverage when dealing with your dentist. You can easily use the low cost of your Bil Veneers as a starting point. You and your dentist know there are cheaper options out there, so, bargain!

Another great tip is to call your dentist and ask if there a time of year when they can reduce the cost of your procedure. There are so many dentists out there that are looking for cases at different times of the year that can do discounted procedures. If you're able to work with your dentist like that through your phone, sending pictures, telling them what you want to achieve, and demanding a quote, then you're so much more in the driver's seat than you have ever been before. Being in this position will help to reduce the cost of your veneers in the long run.

Helpful tips when getting veneers

Start with Bil Veneers

Always start with removable dental veneers. If you start with removable veneers, you can compare them to other smiles you see. Many of our clients find they wouldn't give up their Bil Veneers for anything. They choose Bil Veneers as a temporary solution and end up deciding against porcelain veneers all together. It’s all about having a choice.

porcelain veneers

You have the choice today to get removable veneers and compare them to traditional veneers. Once you truly compare the benefits and non-invasive nature of removable veneers to the side-effects and damage of permanent veneers, you'll understand why Bil Veneers are the best option available. You owe yourself the opportunity to know what your smile would look like if it was improved, and Bil Veneers can give you that opportunity in an instant.

Do your research

Doing your research is always important. When meeting with your dentist, make sure to ask them about the difference between permanent veneers and removable veneers. If your dentist offers both options, ask about their failure rate. This will show you how well porcelain veneers hold up and what you can expect from them. Most people don't know that there's no such thing as a permanent dental veneer, so they assume they’re indestructible. They bite, eat and chew, and over a period of time challenging their traditional veneer, it cracks, breaks, wears or becomes discolored.

There are many things to keep in mind when considering porcelain veneers, like cost and commitment. Many people don't know the different options available to them and tend to rush into permanent veneers. Paying thousands or dollars and ultimately being left unsatisfied with your new smile is something no one wants to experience.

Luckily, Bil Veneers offer a way for clients to see what their new smile will look like without the commitment of teeth shaving preparations or the price of porcelain veneers.

Are veneers permanent?

Are veneers permanent? No, not at all!

Are Veneers Permanent Teeth Substitutes? That's the big question.

Many people are looking to dental practices to give them the perfect smile, and cosmetic dentists are pitching porcelain veneers to achieve this.  A porcelain veneer is a thin sheet of white ceramic that is bonded to a tooth or teeth to mask natural color, shape, or positioning in the mouth.

If you're considering veneers you're probably wondering: Are veneers permanent  teeth substitutes?  The answer to the question: "Are veneers permanent teeth substitutes?" is a resounding "NO!"

In this post, we will explore the misconceptions about porcelain veneers and explore easier, non-invasive alternatives.

Are there any alternatives to porcelain veneers?

In the past two years, the average person in the street has become more willing to undergo cosmetic dentistry because of a lack of affordable options. This means more people than ever are at risk of suffering the pain and cost of porcelain veneers. This is a crisis.

Brighter Image Lab combats this crisis on a daily basis by offering a pain-free, procedure-free alternative to porcelain veneers. They believe patients shouldn’t have to endure pain or sacrifice their natural teeth for a new smile, and they’re absolutely right.

Brighter Image Lab's removable veneers are made from a crystallized resin, originally developed by NASA, used particularly for its strength and durability.

The temporary veneers are very stain resistant and have received no complaints of sensitivity.

They don’t require drilling, shots, grinding, or removing any portion of the natural teeth. And they’re completely reversible!

If you get porcelain veneers, you can never get your teeth back. But, if you try Brighter Image Lab removable veneers first, you can always decide to get porcelain veneers later.

are veneers permanent?

So, if you’re considering porcelain veneers, try Brighter Image Lab's PressOn Veneers first and test the waters. Don’t be disappointed by your porcelain smile -- place your order for snap on veneers today

PressOn Veneers vs. Porcelain veneers

Both PressOn and porcelain veneers both hide imperfections such as chips, cracks and discoloration as well as improve the look of your overall smile. However, there are some key differences between the two:

With Brighter Image Lab, you get your money's worth.

Our PressOn Veneers start at a low price of $795. They fit over the front eight teeth, covering any imperfections for a complete smile makeover

Porcelain veneers can cost over $1,000 per tooth, and involve invasive procedures to install.

Essentially, you get perfect coverage for the front eight teeth for less than the price of a single porcelain veneer.

No pain or dentist visit necessary!

PressOn Veneers don't requite any surgical procedures or anesthetic, no enamel removal and no damage to your natural teeth. They are light-weight and completely removable.

You simply take your own impression at home, and we produce a perfect custom set of removable veneers to completely transform your smile.

Porcelain veneers require extensive surgical procedures. The enamel is shaved from the surface of each tooth, irreparably damaging the teeth's only notable defense.

When the veneers are completed, they are cemented to what remains of the natural teeth.

Once this is done, there is no going back.

Temporary vs. Permanent

PressOn Veneers are temporary and completely removable. They are both affordable and durable, making them a great value to anyone looking to improve their smile.

You can drink and eat most foods without having to remove them. This allows you to maintain your new smile in social settings so you never have to feel self-conscious.

Porcelain veneers are widely advertised as a "permanent" solution. This is far from the truth.

These harsh veneers may be cemented to your teeth, but they aren't staying there forever.

They will need to be replaced multiple times and may cause painful complications as time goes on.

PressOn veneers don’t damage your existing teeth, unlike traditional veneers where your teeth and enamel are scraped and filed down.

These removable veneers cause no harm to the existing teeth. You can snap them on and off as many times as you want, your natural teeth will never be harmed!

Porcelain veneer procedures do not respect your natural teeth in this way. In fact, they cause irreparable damage to existing teeth and can lead to infection, extreme sensitivity, or staining.

Are veneers permanent teeth substitutes? No!

Porcelain veneers are anything but permanent. In fact, they will have to be replaced one or more times throughout the course of your life. Because some dentists advertise porcelain veneers as a “permanent” solution, patients are surprised to learn they must be replaced. About half of porcelain veneers don’t even last 10 years, making them anything but “permanent.”

Many patients also don't fully understand the irreversible damage the veneer procedure poses to their natural teeth, or the numerous complications they may suffer. Patients who undergo the extensive porcelain veneer procedure endure pain, discomfort, and irreversible damage to their natural teeth.

In addition, these patients are also at risk of suffering the many complications associated with the procedure. Infection, extreme sensitivity, and staining are only a few of the listed side effects.

Many patients who choose porcelain veneers as their smile solution regret the decision soon after. With the many dental procedures and painful complications of permanent veneers, many are left wishing they had chosen an easier alternative. If you are considering porcelain veneers as your smile solution, think again.

There are other smile enhancement options available that do not require the procedures or come with the side effects of permanent veneers. For example, Brighter Image Lab PressOn Veneers. These removable veneers require no appointments and come with no side effects. In fact, the entire PressOn Veneer process can be completed from the comfort of your own home.

Removable veneers are a safe and affordable alternative to permanent veneers  that allow clients to achieve a beautiful smile with no pain and no procedures.

Read on to learn more about porcelain veneers and why you should avoid them!

How do porcelain veneers work?

The first step cosmetic dentists perform during the porcelain veneer process, is to preparthe teeth.

This involves filing down the natural teeth to make room for the porcelain veneers, irreversibly destroying up to 30% of natural dental tissue

One patient described this process as “a physical assault” and expressed that “having the enamel of healthy teeth blasted away is every bit as invasive as the surgeon's scalpel slicing into your skin.”

Even worse -- if the dentist removes too much tissue, the nerves become inflamed or infected, causing the tooth to die

This issue requires root canal treatment and creates more undo stress and discomfort for the patient.

are veneers permanent?

Once the dentist has finished filing, impressions are taken of the nubbed teeth and sent to the dental laboratory where the veneers are made.

Once they have been filed, there is no going back. The existing teeth have been completely, irreversibly compromised

When the veneers are completethey are cemented to what is left of the natural teeth

Since the teeth are vulnerable and no longer have enamel to protect themthey will always need veneers or crowns to prevent decay.

Many dentists believe this procedure is widely overused and share concern for patients’ long-term dental problems and irreversible damage to their natural teeth.

This is a lot of sacrifice and risk for a solution that isn't even permanent. No wonder many patients end up seeking alternatives to veneers.

Read on to learn how porcelain veneers can go wrong!

Are veneers permanent?

What are some examples of porcelain veneers gone wrong?

Porcelain veneers can go wrong in many different ways.

Porcelain veneers gone wrong leave many patients suffering the pain of dental problems they didn’t anticipate.

One example of this is the veneers being too large. This allows bacteria to develop and cause an infection in the gum/mouth, which leads to soreness and swelling.

Veneers that are too large often cause patients to feel self-conscious about their smile and result in an uncomfortable fit.

Because these oversized veneers can crowd the mouth, they may cause discomfort or pain for the patient.

The process of removing enamel also poses complications.

If your dentist removes too much of your enamel, it can cause your teeth to ache uncontrollably and become extremely sensitive to hot or cold substances.

This can be very uncomfortable for patients. The extreme sensitivity can lead to irritability and headaches, subjecting patients to even more stress and dissatisfaction.

Many patients complain about the appearance of their porcelain veneers. Some feel they are too wide, too long, too white, or too thick.

But there is no going back. Once they are set, the imperfections of the veneers are as strong as their bonding solution, which is strong enough to last a decade.

Are veneers permanent? Nope. Porcelain veneers wear down, break, chip, or fall off over timeThey can even become discolored when being fitted, making it difficult to achieve the desired look.

Even though they're definitely not permanent, their side effects may be. The irreparable tooth damage patients sustain when being prepared for porcelain veneers can never be repaired.

Luckily, there are better, non-invasive options available for people who want to better their smile without the pain and complications of porcelain veneers Keep reading to find the best option for you!

Many people are looking to cosmetic dentists to achieve the perfect smile -- you may be one of them - but don't settle for a process that will damage your teeth.

Those thin shells of porcelain are used to correct crooked or discolored teeth but require replacing and often come with a slew of uncomfortable complications.

The porcelain veneer preparation process is brutal and causes permanent damage to existing teeth. For this reason, porcelain veneers are not a good option for smile enhancement.

Luckily, no-prep veneers, such as Brighter Image Lab PressOn Veneers, offer patients the opportunity to improve their smile without damaging their existing teeth or suffering painful complications.

These unique veneers correct crooked and/or discolored teeth, and they don’t require removing any portion of the natural teeth. They are completely pain-free and dental-procedure-free and can be completed without ever leaving the house!

Using the latest technology and groundbreaking innovation in the field, Brighter Image Lab allows clients to achieve a beautiful smile without sacrificing their existing teeth or suffering painful complications.

Removable Porcelain Veneers Smashed in a Fight

Remarkable Removable Porcelain Veneers 12 Minute Smile Fix

Bil Watson

Her Removable Porcelain Veneers Smashed - Fight Crushes Her Dreams

When Kristy called Brighter Image Lab to tell us her boyfriend had broken her removable porcelain veneers in a fight, we knew it had to crush her dreams. We sprang into action so we could tell her story.

You know anything about the girl from Lubbock? It's a pretty big deal for me. We built her a veneer. Has had it for, I guess a year, two years? Whatever.

Kristy's Story

Great job, got a promotion as a manager at a Denny's. I think it was just that it worked, and then we get a call that says the long story was she was happy with it, got in a fight with her boyfriend. Boyfriend had smashed her removable porcelain veneers.

Yes, he didn't want her to look good.

If somebody wants to beat up on their girlfriend that's between them and the local authorities. That they were break my BLANK veneer yeah BLANK him.

You know what I'm saying? Like keep your hands off my BLANK.

Because that felt like I did it, you know? Like it was something we did so we thought we helped her.

But I'm not real crazy about your removable veneers or helping you feel like you're somebody, then I'll just...

Break them.

...cause I don't think she can do without them.

She said she wore them religiously and they had broken up, gotten in a fight, he didn't want her to look good - broke her smile - broke her teeth.

Well, that's a story that I want to fix.

Dentistry Won't Fix This Issue

Like, yeah, it's just...and the deal is, if dentistry was going to fix it, it'd be fixed already. Let's go and get these on see what we can do? Boom! Let's look at these.

You know what I love about your removable porcelain veneers? They cover all of your teeth. Like even my fillings, like to know I'm back from the days when they use silver fillings I have all of those and you can't see them at all with these.

Kristy's New Smile Makeover

Let me see, let's hope. Whoa, let's try one at a time right quick. How does it feel?

Actually feels way good, like a lot better than the first one.

They do look good.

Do they?

Let me see what they look like. They look amazing. They look absolutely amazing.

Yeah it looks a lot smaller, and thinner. Yes, ok, let's see what we've got. Let me see. You've got to get them adjusted, they take a few minutes.

Uh huh.

Here you have to decide.

I love them. They look so real.

They look good amazing!

Thank you!

How do they compare the last ones?

I like them better actually.

How do they feel? Thinner? Do they feel...

They do, and they have a more realistic look.

More definition?

You do know that they will seat a little bit more once you bite into them over a couple more days. Let me see you straight on right quick, big as you can. Trying to see if the bottom is doing what it needs to do. Bottom looks perfect.

You Can't Take Her Removable Porcelain Veneers Away

I'm not giving these up! I Love them! You're not taking them back!

They, um, they just look amazing. I'm trying to, I'm just...

It's a huge difference, huh? A smile makes everything...

They just look amazing. Like I can't, I'm sitting here two feet, and if someone thought they weren't...They look like removable porcelain veneers. Just...

They do, actually. Like, and they look more porcelain than your last ones.

Yeah. I'm kind of in shock. Let me tell you why. you came with your makeup done, you came with your hair done. You look amazing, and the difference was is how much difference is it's going to make with her smile makeover?

Huge. they just blew it out. Like, I guess it's because you have a tan, everything just pops.

Yeah, I decided to get a tan before y'all came to town. I was like I'm a little pasty, I work all the time, I sleep during the day. I'm gonna get a tan.

Her First Time To See These Removable Porcelain Veneers

They look amazing. I guess one thing I always tell people it's we've never met before, and you've never tried these in. Like today was the first day...

Yes this is the first time.

I pulled them out of that sealed, you hadn't tried them on earlier, you didn't try them on this morning?

I didn't show them to you yesterday, and you didn't get them before we got here? The only thing you ever had were the ones you bought before, so they don't think, "Oh, we get it now."

But, I met you for an hour this one in or 40 minutes or something, and I was kind of wondering like how much is this going to be able to do for her? Like, how's it going to stand out?

Like, you have no idea how much!

Then all the sudden it's like, wow, I forget and uh, and I can't imagine those working away from you.

Other Dental Options Weren't Affordable

What I hate is is that if we didn't show up today and you didn't have the means or if you had to go to a dentist...

Which I'd never be able to afford.

I just don't think it's fair that other women in your choice, like you got one little girl? There's people's got three four kids or even two, and can't afford it. Just, they're never going to go, "Oh, doctor's five thousand, here."

I couldn't keep putting money towards my teeth when I have formula to buy or before she...

Because you put it towards her first, cause you love your babies. But, it's such a small cost for what it does.

No Regrets

Hey, I never regret spending that thousand dollars ever.

Not once. Like, I thought I might when I first sent it. I had that anxiety where I was like, "Oh my God, I just spent $1,000," and I didn't know if they were going to work. I didn't have it to spend.

I mean you didn't have it float?

And I didn't. I had just enough of my tax money left to...and I had plans to save it for like a year, and pay bills if I needed to. And I just kept Google-ing it and Google-ing it. And I was just like, you know, I'm just going to do it now that my...

I'm sorry to interrupt but you just look so amazing from just ten minutes ago.

A Smile Makeover Changes A Person

I tell people that I just met if you had met me when I had my removable porcelain veneers you would think I was a totally different person, and they're like why is that? I was actually fun because I smiled and I laughed.

Just so incredibly beautiful.

Thank you.

You've probably smiled 50 times in five minutes.

Yeah, I didn't see you smile one time this morning.

I don't smile without my teeth in.

It's hard for me to have a conversation with you because I see how much differently it changed you...

For me...

I mean amazing beautiful.

This is what your company does.

You helped me so much.

A year and a half ago, we were faced at spending more money.

But now you see that it's worth it right?

There's Always A Few

Well listen, you do 20 of them and they would love them, and you'd do two and they'd call and bitch.

You're always going to have that...

Those two would stick with you so bad, it'd be some little girl's wedding. Or it would be something and you'd go, man, I don't want to do this anymore.

I remember I was right there so you got people and they have their kids and their kids are getting bigger, and she spent a lot of time, and they're working hard and all that you do. Everything, and you go man, I was going to quit and then one day this little girl shows up and she's like, "Man, I just got a job at Denny's."

Removable Porcelain Veneers Helped With Her Job

I went from server to manager in less than a week after I got my removable porcelain veneers.

Man it was a big thing for me. The day they told me that, I didn't relate the two. Like, they came in and said, "This guy went Rambo and wanted to break stuff (her removable porcelain veneers)," and I didn't know it's the same little girl who did the video for us.

I really didn't know until we'd already made the decision to do it. Because Kenna was the one who did it. Then I didn't know much about how they did it, or whatever, and when I found out it was you, I was "We have to do it."

And I guess what I'd like to tell you is that it...God it's hard talk about a lot of times we don't know what you did and I'll tell you you taking that video, it was just at the right time. That was just you telling the world, "Hey, don't worry about it, you can do whatever you want with these."

Her Removable Porcelain Veneers Changed Her Life

Guys, I don't know if you saw it, but she just sent us her pictures and they look amazing. I want everyone to see those. We got finished with her today, and I'm telling you, this girl is absolutely amazing beautiful. It's just kind of crazy how you can see someone one minute in the next minute. A smile makeover really does change them.

One, I was so glad that the smile was very, very, very, very beautiful. But she's all-around, fits her. I will tell you this little girl deserves to smile. Out of all the things that I've done, of all the places I've been, I've just never been more impressed with someone who was just more open minded about just let me be me, please let me be who I am.

Which is all we ever talk about every day. It's not about your smile, in this situation her smile brought her out. Made her look really, really, really pretty and helped her a lot.

Lubbock Was Worth It

Let's put it all together, it made it worth it. I'll tell you Lubbock is a long ways and it's not an easy day, but it was worth it. I think I would ride my bike out here, but I could not be more appreciative.

This is the kind of work I want to do more of and if you're just watching this video weekly and you're not subscribed, do me a favor. Freaking subscribe. It's not that big a deal.

When I see three hours later she's already on Facebook and I'm guessing she hadn't been on a while, then it lets me know that their confidence changed. They're taking new directions. They're going to do some more stuff, and I'm just going to wrap it up here, so we're going to try to get back to the office.

See you next week.

Composite Resin Veneers by Brighter Image Lab

Composite Resin Veneers vs Porcelain A Report of 2 Veneers

Bil Watson

Composite Resin Veneers and Porcelain Veneers

Many people ask every day what the difference is between composite resin veneers and porcelain veneers. Dentists have long touted the benefits of porcelain veneers, but read on to find out if new composite resin veneers may be the right dental choice for you.

Composite Resin Veneers by Brighter Image Lab

Everyone who has ever attended a job interview has witnessed the importance of first impressions. For better or for worse, we make an impression with everything we say and even more with what we don’t say.

As we age, we become even more aware of malocclusion as crooked teeth and broken teeth begin to interfere with critical aspects of our lives. If you suffer from crooked teeth, you know the effects can be devastating and long lasting, even more so as a young adult.

Social stigma related to a bad dental condition takes a sharper and more devastating turn as the appearance of your teeth begins to dictate what jobs you will get and impacts your ability to date.

Porcelain Veneers is usually the first choice

For this reason, many people begin to look at porcelain veneers for crooked teeth. Often, people dive right in without fully evaluating the process.

Far more than just “up front costs,” getting porcelain or composite veneers is a long-term commitment. Asking “how dental veneers work” is the first step to learning if Lumineers and veneers are the right choice.

Some people suffer from conditions such as severe discoloration, protruding teeth, or crowding requiring grinding to attain the desired effect. The condition of your teeth and your expectation can run the cost for porcelain veneers into the tens of thousands.

Composite Resin Veneers are a viable option

According to the ADA, composite resin veneers are made from a tooth-colored filling material bonded to the tooth. At $250.00 to $350.00 per tooth, the composite resin veneers cost seems like a more affordable option of all dental veneer prices.

Composite resin veneers last between four and eight years and require “maintenance”. Maintenance means two teeth cleanings and checkups a year and paying out of pocket when the composite resin veneers chip. Which they do.

Less strong than porcelain veneers, the composite veneers are not as resistant to daily wear and tear. Habitual grinding or clenching of teeth, can easily break dental veneers and send you back for repair or replacement.
